Focus on Precinct Organizing
The Democratic Party needs to find out what matters to people in their communities and help communities organize to support candidates and address issues that are important to them. I will work with state party leadership to provide support for communities’ grass root efforts.
The Democratic Party can earn voter turnout through delivering necessary resources and helping communities make positive changes.
I am dedicated to fostering strong communities by empowering citizens to engage in the political process. Precinct communities are places for candidates to connect with people and for people to become candidates as they participate and become experienced. It should connect communities to each other to act in unison to effect change.

Increase State Party Support
One of my main priorities as an Executive Committee Member for the 1st District is to ensure that newly elected and returning state and parish committee members receive the orientation, training, and guidance they need to begin functioning effectively. This includes providing support and resources to help them better understand their roles and responsibilities. By doing this, we can ensure that our committee members are well equipped to make a positive difference in our communities.

universities. He held a variety of executive and technical positions in leadership, organization
improvement, and economic development. BJ has years of experience getting diverse, divisive
groups to successfully work together to accomplish common goals.

A Plan to Strengthen LA Democracy
Engaging citizens through a well thought out plan that successfully executes precinct organizing will change the results Democrats have recently experienced in Louisiana. The lack of voter turnout is the outcome of the lack of voter engagement in the political process that they believe does not serves them. This plan leverages precinct organizing with an approach that integrates and coordinates the state level, DSCC, the parish level, DPECs, and the precincts into an integrated structured approach that will strengthen democracy in Louisiana.
